free engineering course materials at stanford

The Wired Campus” portion of The Chronicle of Higher Education is just full of interesting articles this morning. First of all, Stanford is offering 10 online engineernig courses with free course materials that can be re-used under a Creative Commons license. Way to move into the age of Web 2.0!

Next up, a Yale student has developed a website that will predict a student’s potential grade in a course. The site seems to be having some difficulty, though, this morning. See

And, finally, there’s an article noting that “Peer Pressure Is Motivating Professors to Podcast Their Lectures.”

Today’s entry is kind of like a digest, but I thought these articles were timely and pertinent to Web 2.0, and I wanted to be sure you saw them. Read on!
