ustream.tv

Here’s an interesting tool for sharing live video: http://www.ustream.tv/. Sure, you’ll share “broadcast” space with jack ass world and The Great Alaskan Red Squirrel Cam, but if you can get past that, you may find it useful. If you have high speed Internet and a webcam, you can get a channel. Conferences (like MacWorld) have used ustream.tv, as have celebrities and newscastersm, according to the site. There’s an umbrella area for technology channels: http://www.ustream.tv/network/tech. In November, I saw a presenter at the Kentucky Convergence Conference use the videostream to capture his presentation and send it out live on his channel.
