Happy Birthday, Abraham Lincoln! That’s right, today is Lincoln’s 200th birthday, and since he’s not here to celebrate, we’ll have to do it for him. And this is only the beginning of a whole year of celebration across the United States in honor of Honest Abe (in many places, including Kentucky, we’ve already been celebrating for a year, beginning a two-year cycle – anything worth celebrating is worth celebrating well!). Below is a round-up of some Lincoln resources. Feel free to add your own in the comments section.

Kentucky has a Lincoln Bicentenniel website that will keep you up to date on events and other information, including educational resources and the Lincoln Heritage Trail.

There is a national Lincoln Bicentennial website that features events and information from all over the country. It also includes links to PDFs of Lincoln speeches, among other resources.
