tour ancient Rome

Props to our friends in K-12 today: See the results of the Google Ancient Rome in 3D Curriculum Competition, found on the Google Lat Long Blog. First of all, remember that I mentioned Google Earth’s new tools in 3D? One of the newest additions is an Ancient Rome tour. Nifty! So Google invited K-12 teachers to create lessons making use of Ancient Rome via Google Earth. Winners were recognized on the 9-12 level and K-8 level, with honorable mentions. Among the winning lessons: Walking in the Footsteps of the Romans – complete with intro video. Nice use of of media.
